Ilja Gomberg studied at the Technical University of Hamburg. In May 2017, he graduated with an M.Sc. degree in electrical engineering with a focus on microsystems engineering and integrated photonics. From June 2017 to December 2021, he worked as a research assistant at the Institute of Microsystems Engineering in the field of sensor technology in microreactors for the analysis of the dynamics of a chemical reaction. Since January 2022 he is further employed as a research assistant at the Institute of Teoretical Electrical Engineering. Within the Helios project he works on Integrated Photonic Systems for the use of applications in the visual light spectrum.
